News!!!!

Hello Ladies,

I wanted to take the time to update you.
Last night coming home from the store, my car was hit by a truck. Carol, Jess, and I are fine, except banged up and bruised. I have a gorgeous black eye, plus other bruising…
Carol ended up going to the hospital in the ambulance, but they sent her home with a concussion, dizziness, and 2 big knots on her head. Jess is bruised and walking with a limp and I just hurt all over….so will be taking it easier then planned this weekend.
We are going to work on orders, but not as fast as I had hoped. If you are running out of anything…please email me and let me know so I can get them out faster…hopefully…
Otherwise they are being done in the order in which I got them.
I’m sorry for this added delay since it’s taking me so long in the first place to get them done, but I will be sure to add gifts in each package to thank you for your patience and continued shopping at DreamWorld.

Order Update

Hello everyone,

I want to just take the time to update you on your order. I am working on them and will put a lot of time in this weekend, so I can have many out by Monday. You will all receive the gift from Halloween, plus others gifts as I go since the shipping is taking a long time. Once I am caught up then, I plan on restocking and setting everything up so that I can get them out fast.

I am sorry for the delay. It has been a bad year this year, between myself, my granddaughter and my daughter in law. She just got out of the hospital. She was taken to the Emergency Room at 4 am for pain …and found out she has elevated pancreatic and liver enzymes, so both her liver and pancreas are swollen and inflamed.  She has gall stones and some of them decided to move, go into her ducts and make her extra sick.

She needs to have surgery, but now they cannot do this until around Christmas time…which kinda rots for the holidays…but she can’t eat anything good until then, so I’m sure she’ll be happy to see it leave. Plus we just found out if the stones don ‘t move from the ducts she has to go to Erie and have another procedure done before she can have surgery…so it’s just one thing after another. But in good news, she’s not as yellow as she was from the increased liver enzymes being up.

So I am working on the orders and will get them out. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me. Also if I give you a date on shipping, this is just a guesstimate. It is not an actual promise, since I cannot ever foresee something happening…

Slow Shipping

As a majority of you know, shipping at DreamWorld is slow, which can be so frustrating, not only for you the customer but for me also. I have batted back and forth the idea of explaining why this is because I didn’t want anyone to think that I am using it for a crutch…but at this point I feel that I need to do this.

As many of you may or may not know, is I have worked as a critical care nurse for 17 years before becoming injured from a freak fall at work that has since disabled me.

What some of you may or may not know is that when I fell, they discovered that I had SEVERE osteoarthritis, along with my MS and Fibromyalgia. So needless to say I have good and bad days. So even when working alone, it would sometimes take me so much longer then necessary to get things done.

It is no fun to be a human barometer, that much I can tell you. LOL…even though it can be interesting at times.

But because of the 3 major disease processes I have going on, it does slow me down. I am unable to walk for long or well anymore…and I can tell you honestly I HATE this!!!

That’s why having Carol come here is been a GODsend to me. I am still teaching her the ropes..since she had no knowledge of mineral makeup before this, plus the office is so discombobolated these days…with trying to restock.

I apologize for any problem this has caused ladies. I have some orders that we are working on, while I am still mixing shadows, foundations and other products so they are available quickly.

Ladies who are waiting for their orders, will be receiving a letter about their orders explaining everything.

Halloween and Mutiny information

Hello everyone,

While writing this I will be thinking of the correct name for this post. There are a few things I wish to update everyone on…
First of all the large sale that is coming up…I will put the code in action mid day on the 30th. One reason I do this is for my international customers who are a day ahead of us…
I am going to give you the code today although it won’t go into affect until the 30th.

Now on to other business….

As many of you may or may not know there is a mutiny of sorts going on. If you follow many of the mineral makeup blogs you will see that ladies are upset about buying makeup that has been either repackaged, which mean either the seller has finished off the mica without adding any other color or has just placed it in a jar without doing anything finishing at all or resold.

The repackagers who create a finished product from the micas are usually very honest and also trustworthy…they do this mixing so that the color will last longer for the customer, while the product that is just thrown in a jar as a straight mica is frown upon totally. The color doesn’t last as the finished product does and ladies are upset with not being told that it was repackaged.
There is nothing wrong with the repackager who mixes something to finish off the mica or the reseller, if that is their choice…

it’s just sad to me that the repackager wouldn’t want to play with the beautiful micas that are available and make a shadow or blush that is totally unique.

There is also nothing wrong with someone who wants to buy from a wholesaler and put their products up for sale. Some have started that way and then expanded so they sell both. But if they resell, the problem is that ladies buy from 2 different companies never knowing and end up with the same product…this is what upsets them.

So these ladies are speaking out their opinions only…they are trying to figure out if someone is a reseller, repackager or someone who makes all their own products so the confusion doesn’t keep happening. Right now in the makeup field it is big news for some.
As many of you may know, DreamWorld or rather myself make all my own products. There are only 2 of my shadows that I do very little to because they are beautiful colors on their own…

I happen to be lucky enough to be friends with a blogger who is very honest and nice. The sad part for all these bloggers who are out there being honest and trying to warn everyone is that they are putting themselves in the line of fire. Some have already been accused of lying and defamation…which I promise is not true at all. To me this is one of the saddest things….

Many companies have already stepped up to claim that they make their own products. DreamWorld is one of these. I have from the beginning made all my own products. I have tested, played and some have seen where it is taking me awhile to come out with something that I have been planning…all because it is taking longer to perfect so it doesn’t hit the store until it does.

I have been asked at times to dupe a product that someone likes in another line…What I have done and will continue to do is this…I will make the product, but it will NOT be like another companies…I will make it the way I do and it will be mine. Each company should have the ability to have their own products without someone continually copying them. The makeup world is a small one and sadly, even with internet getting smaller every day. It is so hard to trust someone, so I hope when you are looking for makeup, you will notice the banner or badge of authenticity that the company is wearing and know that it is safe to buy from there….

And please support the bloggers who are putting themselves in the line of fire by being as honest as they can be…
