McDowell’s DreamWorld Mineral foundations come in 4 main formulas.
Sand, and Cloud, Luna, and Mulberry. Each have their own advantages for use, while leaving your skin looking healthy and glowing as well as natural, which is the most important of things.
Sand – is the medium formula. It is perfect for ladies looking for medium to heavy coverage. And although it offers wonderful coverage, it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin…but light and soft. Your skin will love it and like the clouds, sands is limited on the zinc.
Cloud – is the first of the mica free formulas. It is a medium to heavy coverage that is matte and light feeling. It is perfect for ladies who live in the environment where they don’t want anything heavy and for those with oily skin. The rice powder helps those ladies who need oil control, by soaking up the excess oils, so their foundation stays nice all day long. There is a limited amount of zinc in this formula. This formula also runs a shade darker than the others.
Luna – is the heaviest coverage of the 3 formulas. While offering wonderful coverage the Lunas do not cause a cakey look and will feel soft on the skin, while having a long lasting effect. Luna offers the highest amount of Zinc and is wonderful for ladies who have acne and rosacea. The zinc helps to diminish redness and inflammation caused by these problems.
Mulberry – is the second of the mica free foundations. It is perfect for ladies with dry skin, who are looking for something that will not continue to dry them out. It is medium coverage and has a high molecular zinc that is soothing for the skin. Run on the same colour level as the cloud – darker than Luna and Sand.
Besides the regular foundations which are available, DreamWorld also has 3 foundations that are special request only. Each of these can be made after the person places an email via the contact form asking for them. They are
Vapor – Titanium Dioxide Free
Mist – Zinc Oxide Free
Storm – Titanium Dioxide free, but contains rice powder
Originally I wasn’t going to allow for samples in this area, but I am finding that many ladies truly do have issues with Titanium Dioxide, so samples can be ordered but will cost more since I have to mix everything up. If there are any questions, please never hesitate to ask.

Foundation Application
When applying your foundation you will find that you do not have to buff in my foundations, just apply on in small amounts and layer them to get to the coverage that you are trying to achieve.
You will find that even in multiple layers the foundations are light, airy and do not feel cakey.
You can apply your foundation in of 2 ways, which ever is easier for you.
After your face is washed, toned, moisturized, and the moisture has soaked in you are ready to apply your foundation
1.Taking your flat top brush, dip the brush into the foundation and then tap off all the excess foundation. Apply onto your face in light strokes. You will find that your face feels soft and has a soft glow. You can repeat this process until you get to the level of coverage you are comfortable with.
2. If you are having a problem with applying your foundation on as a powder then this may be your solution.
Using your favorite moisturizer, place a bit of it in the palm of your hand, or a saucer, then mix in some of your foundation powder. Apply on your face with your hand or a liquid foundation brush. You can adjust the color by adding more foundation, so just use a little at a time and make up only what you will use in one application. You will find that you retain the waterproofness of the foundation while having a healthy, glowing look.
If you have large pores, this is a wonderful way to use the foundation so that they don’t show plus for someone just learning it’s another wonderful choice.
Then apply the powder veil of your choice along with the rest of your makeup.

The new silk mulberry formula
In 2640 BC, Princess Xi Ling Shi was the first to reel a cocoon of silk, which had, as per legend, fell into her cup of tea. While reeling it in she got the idea of using it to make cloth which resulted in the first silk cloth.
From that time onward, the Chinese have maintained a monopoly on the production of silk and silk worms, which grow in Mulberry Trees. From this China had a total monopoly on the production of silk worms and silk production, and it was highly guarded information.
But in 552 AD, Emporer Justinian sent 2 monks on a mission to Asia. Accomplishing their mission, they returned to the Byzantium with silkworm eggs hidden in their bamboo walking sticks which became the first known case of industrial espionage!
From that time onward, silk became known throughout Asia minor and Greece, and as Crusades came and went, the knowledge of the silk became known to all the world.
Silk powder has become very popular in skin care products. It offers 18 amino acids that soak easily into the skin, it both reflects and absorbs UV rays while being a natural moisture adjusting product that can absorb or release moisture as the temperature and humidity change making it a “breathing” powder. But it can also absorb oils making it both great for oily and dry skin,
Because of the ingredients of the Mulberry formula, the colors tend to run darker then the lunas and sands. If you use the cloud(rice) without problem and know the color for those, mulberry is on the same color level.
