McDowell’s DreamWorld Mineral foundations come in 3 main formulas.

Cloud, Luna, and Vapor. Each have their own advantages for use, while leaving your skin looking healthy and glowing as well as natural, which is the most important of things.

Cloud – is the first of the mica free formulas. It is a medium to heavy coverage that is matte and light feeling. It is perfect for ladies who live in the environment where they don’t want anything heavy and for those with oily skin. The rice powder helps those ladies who need oil control, by soaking up the excess oils, so their foundation stays nice all day long. There is a limited amount of zinc in this formula.

Luna – is the heaviest coverage of the 3 formulas. While offering wonderful coverage Luna foundation does not cause a cakey look  upon application and will feel soft on the skin, while having a long lasting effect. Luna offers the highest amount of Zinc and is wonderful for ladies who have acne and rosacea, although all skin types can use it.  The zinc helps to diminish redness and inflammation caused by these problems.

Vapor- is a titanium dioxide free foundation. It has been reformulated for better adhesion and coverage. It is medium to heavy coverage, but feels just like its name portrays….vapor. There is moderate amount of zinc oxide in this , yet also contains kaolin clay, so will work wonderfully for ladies who would like oil control without all the titanium, while still not being drying. It is also the foundation of choice if you will be having multiple pictures taken.

Foundation Application

When applying your foundation you will find that you do not have to buff in my foundations, just apply on in small amounts and layer them to get to the coverage that you are trying to achieve.

You will find that even in multiple layers the foundations are light, airy and do not feel cakey.

You can apply your foundation in of 2 ways, which ever is easier for you.

After your face is washed, toned, moisturized, and the moisture has soaked in you are ready to apply your foundation

1.Taking your flat top brush, dip the brush into the foundation and then tap off all the excess foundation. Apply onto your face in light strokes. You will find that your face feels soft and has a soft glow. You can repeat this process until you get to the level of coverage you are comfortable with.

2. If you are having a problem with applying your foundation on as a powder then this may be your solution.
Using your favorite moisturizer, place a bit of it in the palm of your hand, or a saucer, then mix in some of your foundation powder. Apply on your face with your hand or a liquid foundation brush. You can adjust the color by adding more foundation, so just use a little at a time and make up only what you will use in one application. You will find that you retain the waterproofness of the foundation while having a healthy, glowing look.
If you have large pores, this is a wonderful way to use the foundation so that they don’t show plus for someone just learning it’s another wonderful choice.

Then apply the powder veil of your choice along with the rest of your makeup.
