McDowell's DreamWorld Mineral Cosmetics are an all natural mineral makeups that are good for any skin type and any age.

They contain *NO Bismuth *NO Parabens *NO Preservatives, and *NO Carmine, just all natural healthy ingredients. If products have any preservation, it is done with natural perservatives, such as grapefruit seed extract or even Lavender. I will also be using Optiphen and Cosmocil CQ. They are non formeldehye, non paraben preservatives and are tested for being safe.

All of the shadows and blushes on this site would be considered mineral pigments. The same pigments are used in my lip products. They are concentrated minerals that can be used as blush or shadow...which ever you desire.

Order Updates

Hello,

Butterfly garden blank tagI thought I would update everyone about the orders that have been placed the month of August. These orders will all be out by Monday, August 31st.
I am leaving for 4 days to go to NC to take my daughter to college so I want them to all be out by this time.
Plus for the month of September if you order you can get 20% off using the code slow20. I will not be shipping these orders until Oct. 1st. Plus, if you check the site from time to time, you will notice product after product going up as I get them done and photographed. I will have my mom and Jess helping me restock and rearrange the shop, so it’ll be a busy month for me. The plan when I am finished is that shipping will increase and TAT will also be much quicker, except for products that have to be mixed.
I have debated and debated about going to school for esthetics, and still haven’t reached a decision. One of my concerns is the fact that since I am all natural and knowing the school isn’t, it may cause a conflict. Plus, with the internet and other available avenues, as a nurse I can learn much of what I need. The time is coming fast, so I know I need to make a decision.
While I am restocking I will continue to check my email, so if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me at dreamworldminerals@gmail.com
I will continue to check this regularly.
If you order on or before August 31st. you will also get your order during September or before. Those are the only orders going out that month along with any back ordered items.
If anyone has any ideas of what they may like to see, send me an email. While I am developing and formulating in September, you never know, I may be able to get what you are wanting also done and up.
Also, please go to my forum. I have someone who is going to model new colors coming out. As I get them done, I will ship them and she will put them up on the site. You can’t go wrong checking those out. I have some colors I have been sitting on since I don’t have a photographer at the present time. But that’s about to change. My son is going to do this for me until my regular photographer can work her way through the issues she has at home. He is going to try to keep the pics as close to what I have, but you may still notice some difference.
And please if you think of anything I may not have mentioned and wish to know about it, please email me.

What goes into each Order

Hello all,

As I was working on orders, I got to thinking that maybe  it would be a nice thing for everyone to know what goes into each order I do. I know when I started I thought of the glamorous job it was to sell makeup…and quickly found out it’s not as glamorous as I thought, although it is rewarding.  It is also hard work and though not physically demanding, it is time consuming.

So let’s take you through the steps I use to do an order.
First, once the order is made, I verify payment. I have had many orders that never get paid for. That is why I came up with the policy that if it’s not paid for the customer has 5 days to contact me. If I do not hear from the customer, I then cancel the order. Once I know the order has been paid for, I print it out and begin. Depending on how any other orders I have it goes into a pile so that I can get to it in the order it was received.
The nice part is if I have the products in their containers and ready to go I can grab and send. Full sized foundations, pixie foundation and elf foundations have to be put in their jars at this point. Eventually I am hoping to work out a system so they are made up also, so they are a grab and ship. If it’s a sample, I try to have those made up, but there are times,(recently a lot of them since I haven’t had time to restock from the big sale) that I have to make up what’s needed. To make up the products can take up to a whole day depending on how many there are to be made. And I will be honest, I like to do all my mixing at one time. I usually get very sparkly, and colorful while mixing. Graceful and neat I am not!!!
I have a secondary check system in place but to be honest it’s not full proof. Mistakes can still happen, so if that happens, please never hesitate to contact me. I want to know about these.

If you have a small order it will take me less time to get it done. I have seen some large orders take me up to 2 days.
Occasionally I do have help in the form of my son’s girlfriend or my daughter. But that isn’t the ideal help…both are young and aren’t as anal about things as I am. I try very hard to check behind them, but again, sometimes depending what I am doing this could take a bit for me to get to, which again will slow down a package.
At the end of Sept. I have a good friend moving from Tennessee to PA. She has a background in cosmetology, but will be learning alot about natural minerals. I will be spending a lot of time teaching her and she is going to help me in the shop..which is a dream come true.
This should speed up shipping, plus will help with keeping products in stock so they don’t have to be made up during an order.
Plus it will create the time for me to start introducing new products that I have in mind but haven’t had the time to get made.

And please if anyone ever has a question about your order never hesitate to ask me.
I try to be on top of all emails and they are never a problem….

Thanks,

Ellie
